Job Description:
A company is looking for a Pharmacy Tech to process medication
refill requests remotely within California.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze EMR chart notes and laboratory tests for medication refill
requests
Notify prescribing providers of any unmet protocol criteria and
maintain accurate records of renewal requests
Manage high volumes of incoming calls and assist patients with
their refill inquiries
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
One (1) year of experience in a nonacute care licensed pharmacy
AA Degree required; related work experience may substitute for
education
Clear and current CA Pharmacy Tech certification
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and e-prescribing
capabilities
Knowledge of clinic and department policies and procedures
