Job Description:

Seeking a full-time Board Certified, Virginia and Tennessee Licensed Psychiatrist to for an inpatient Staff Psychiatrist opportunity.

• Tennessee licensed Psychiatrists are welcome to apply but will need to pursue a Virginia license prior to a start date.
• 7 on/7 off schedule model
• Busy unit, accepting referrals and admissions 24-hours-a-day, 365 days per year.
• Unit designed to provide short-term stabilization and treatment for adults whose treatment needs mandate an inpatient stabilization and treatment.
• The unit s goal is to return patients to a level of acuity in which comprehensive outpatient care can continue to improve the quality of life for the patient.
• Unit contains a large multipurpose treatment room, a group therapy room, a recreational therapy room, a kitchen, laundry room, offices and work area.
• The unit provides a wide range of therapeutic modalities to its patients, including:
  • Daily rounds by the Psychiatry Team including 1 Psychiatrist and 1 Psychiatric Advanced Practitioner
  • Daily therapeutic services lead by licensed therapists and counselors including individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy
  • On-Site Case Management and Utilization Review
  • Recreational activities
  • Pharmacology
  • Family therapy
  • On-Site Court
