Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to apply medical
coding standards to cardiovascular lab and interventional radiology
procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Apply ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes to medical records
Verify supplies used during procedures and maintain surgical
logs
Manage multiple tasks daily, including coding accuracy and account
completion
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Proficient knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding
Licenses and Certifications: AAPC-CPC, CIRCC, CCC, CCVTC, or
AHIMA-CCS required
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Experience with abstracting and using coding encoders
Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Epic
