Job Description:

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II to support the prior authorization request process and assist the utilization management team.

Key Responsibilities

Aids the utilization management team in tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals
Researches and documents medical information for authorization requests to facilitate clinical review
Verifies member insurance coverage and maintains accurate data entry for authorization requests

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED
1 - 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
